New York Fashion Week Derek Lam FW2016

3 Favorite Looks from  Derek Lam this season

It's all about the coats. We are loving the furry coats from this collection. The bold prints are stunning and adding the belts adds  a very sophisticated touch.

New York Fashion Week ALTUZARRA FW2016

3 Favorite Looks from  Altuzarra this season

Altuzarra was inspired by a Jim Jarmusch’s 2011 film "Only Lovers Left Alive." The film stars Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston as artistic, sophisticated centuries-old vampire lovers pondering their ultimate place in modern society, "and according to the designer, "the rich, patch-work world the central characters inhabit."

New York Fashion Week Alexander Wang FW2016

Our 6 Favorite Looks

All I can say is blaze up baby!  Statement received and I want that coat.

New York Fashion Week Rebecca Minoff FW2016

Our 6 Favorite Looks

This  is not the first time this duo has gone against tradition and went with the current season. This makes a lot of sense, especially with technology having the ability to punch out the design almost before the models finishes their catwalk. Tom Ford, Burberry and Misha Nonoo have also gone against the grain recently. With the age of instagratification do you think this is the direction Fashion Week should go towards, let us know in comments.

New York Fashion Week Yigal Azrouel FW2016

Our 6 Favorite Looks

Here are our favorite looks from the New York based fashion designer, what do you think about the collection?

New York Fashion Week Tadashi Shoji FW2016

Our 6 Favorite Looks

We are loving the tribal motifs Tadashi Shoji created for his fall/winter 2016 collection. It featured lace and tulle gowns, fitted dresses and bodysuits adorned with titanium hardware and gemstones.

New York Fashion Week BCBG Max Azria FW2016

Tom Ford Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016

Mr. Tom Ford never ceases to amaze me. This season he blew me away with his video presentation in lieu of the traditional runway with the gorgeous Lady Gaga dancing down the soul train line.  This collection you can sum up in one word SEXY!!   (Scroll down for video)

Giorgio Armani Spring Summer 2016

By Cassandra Pierre-Louis
Giorgio Armani's Spring Summer '16 collection was, in a word, what the French call coquette. It's a classy woman who likes amorous scents, dressing well and being admired. Sprinkled with a celestial silver undertone, blue and red were the dominant colours with soft washes of pink and peach accents. It was girly at it's best. Proving further more that women in men clothes takes nothing away from their gracefulness, Giorgio designed pinstriped short pants suit in metallic lilac, a boyfriend shirt-dress and long cardigans that are appropriate for the office. We particularly loved the tulle dresses and the Audrey Hepburn oversized hats. Classy, girly, simply put, Armani's collection was gorgeous.

For his 10th year anniversary collection, Alexander Wang went back to his roots of notoriously known grunge and urban looks. The vibe that was given off by his SS2016 collection is the look that was created by Wang himself 10 years ago - slouchy, relaxed, not-trying-too-hard urban look.
