LA Fashion Weekend-Sunday March 18, 2012

By Tatiana Wilcox-Ha

I could totally tell Sunday evening was going to be different. Maybe it was because the person at the check in desk was totally giving us "attitude", saying "we only have standing room only ", even though we are media and the other two days we were in the first two rows. Okay we were not there as early as the other two days but still we were early, anyhow, we were happy to be there and very happy it was not raining  like the previous night.

The event was packed, according to KTLA there were over a thousand people there and boy did it feel like it. Let's just say I became closer to people who I never would have in a million years. I brought my girlfriend Jenelle Chow along to have "a girls night out". We were dressed to impress, eyelashes on (Thanks to Quantum Lashes for my Mink Lashes) , lips lined & shined and we were ready for our close-up and guess what? We were. Filmed live on KTLA Channel 5 (see below for actual footage-thanks goodness for DVR and the iphone). Did I mention the last show was televised live on TV?

The first collection to hit the runway was Alexis by Tal Sheyn, a line co-designed with Alexis Bellino of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Orange County.

NBC’s Fashion Star designer Lizzie Parker collection was amazing, and to my understanding will be available at Macy's soon.

The final collection was by the much anticipated new season of Gossip Girl by Romeo & Juliet Couture, an apparel collection inspired by the CW hit television series.

Overall, the evening was a smashing success!! Can't wait until the next fashion week to see the spring summer collections for 2013.
